Privacy policy

JustChillRentals ("we," "us," "our") is a family owned and operated rental provider serving Renton, Washington (USA) and British Columbia (Canada). This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.justchillrentals.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because we collect very little.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us in a form. When you submit our "list your home" or contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the details you choose to include about your property (title, city/ZIP, desired rent, description).
- Automatic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.
- Anti-spam & security tools. We use Cloudflare Turnstile (a "no-CAPTCHA" human check) and Cloudflare's network to protect our forms from bots. These tools may set cookies or process limited technical data to tell humans from automated abuse. We also load web fonts from Google Fonts.
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers, government IDs, or sensitive personal data through this website.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and send the free rent report or information you requested.
- To communicate with you about a home you're interested in, or about listing your home.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated advertising or profiling.
3. How we share it
We are a small operation and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site:
- FormSubmit — delivers your form submission to our email inbox.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides bot/spam protection (Turnstile).
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on the site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
4. Your choices & rights
You can email us at our email address at any time to access, correct, or delete the information you gave us, or to ask a question about privacy.
United States — California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to correct it. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us.
United States — Washington
Washington residents may contact us to access or delete the personal information they provided. Note the Washington My Health My Data Act does not apply because we do not collect consumer health data.
Canada — PIPEDA & BC PIPA
For Canadian residents (including British Columbia), we handle personal information in line with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). We collect only what's needed for the purposes described above, use it only for those purposes, and you may withdraw consent or request access/correction by emailing us.
5. Data retention
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
6. Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
7. International note
We operate from the United States. If you contact us from Canada or elsewhere, your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. by us and our service providers.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows the latest version.
